RMYA TurningPoint Transitional Living

TurningPoint Transitional Living Program

Turning 18 after foster care can be overwhelming. Many young people leave care without family support, financial stability, or experience managing daily life — putting them at risk for housing instability or homelessness.

RMYA’s TurningPoint Transitional Living Program provides a safe, supportive environment for young adults who have aged out of foster care, are in extended foster care, or are experiencing homelessness. Through apartment-style housing and individualized support, TurningPoint helps youth build independence, confidence, and long-term stability.

Independent Living

TurningPoint residents live in two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments, giving each young adult their own private bedroom and bathroom. They cook meals, manage household chores, and care for their apartments while receiving guidance and support — building the habits and skills needed for independent living.

They also receive counseling support through RMYA’s Family Counseling & Resource Center, both individually and in group sessions, to help navigate challenges, build confidence, and strengthen resilience.
