Internship

RMYA interns are a welcome part of the company culture. RMYA seeks to develop individuals in the art of mental health care with a passion-driven team. RMYA offers supervised hours for licensure in an environment of teamwork that is compassionate and purpose-filled. For an internship in mental health licensure or for college course credits, please download the Internship Application form below and email the completed application form to crc@rmya.org.

Internship Expectations:

All Campuses:

  • 2-semester commitment
  • Complete 8 days of required in-person orientation/training
  • Must submit a fully completed internship application to be considered

SA Campus – Outpatient Community Counseling Center:

  • Population: Community clients, 17 y/o and younger
  • Service: Long-term counseling services
  • Caseload Size: 10-12 clients
  • Hours of Operation: Sun & Mon Closed, Tues 9a-6p, Wed 9a-8p, Thurs-Sat 9a-6p

Boerne Campus – Residential Treatment Center (RTC):

  • Population: Youth in residential care, 6-17 y/o
  • Service: Long-term counseling services
  • Caseload Size: Depends on the site supervisor’s caseload, clinical interns shadow the assigned site supervisor’s sessions and can provide supplemental therapy sessions/support when applicable
  • Hours of Operation: Varies based on the assigned site supervisor’s schedule
