Women in Communication:
28th Annual Headline / Proliner Awards
We are extremely proud to announce that RMYA’s two nominees submitted for recognition in the prestigious WOMEN IN COMMUNICATIONS AWARDS were both winners! It was a delight and an honor to see both of them in the spotlight they both so richly deserved at the Awards Ceremony on June 4, 2008.
Charlotte Travis was the recipient of the Harriet Ross Individual Achievement Award for her for her ongoing commitment to children, dedication, expertise and hard work. RMYA has a 32-year history of providing a “safe haven” for traumatized children, and Charlotte’s leadership and guidance has been instrumental in allowing us to meet the ever changing needs of children in crisis, and to continue meeting the needs of the children we serve by providing safe, quality care. THANK YOU CHARLOTTE from our Board, our staff and our children. You are very special to all of us!
Lana Duke & her Ruth’s Chris Steak Houses were the recipient of the prestigious Professional Achievement Award. Lana is truly one of our very special Guardian Angels, and she does not seek public recognition for the hard work and commitment she demonstrates on a daily basis. Her commitment, hard work, generosity and her belief in our programs and our children certainly made her worthy of this recognition. She is an outstanding leader and her contributions to her profession, her family and her community—and to the RMYA programs and children are exceptional. THANK YOU LANA from our Board, our staff and our children. You are such an inspiration to all of us!
